Mission Statement

The Trenton Fire Department is organized to provide for life and property safety from the threat of fires, natural or man-made disasters, vehicular accidents and water emergencies. This is accomplished by planning, training, prevention, education, incident mitigation and appropriate application of technology.

The Trenton Fire Department serves the city with a great deal of pride. Housed in the city’s Emergency Services Complex the department is comprised of 6 full-time firefighters and 15 part time/paid-per-call firefighters. Full time firefighters work 48-hour shifts with 96 hours off on a rotating schedule.
