Trenton Water Plant
Trenton’s city owned water utility is a coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, rapid mix, sand filter, fluoridation, chlorination, lime softening, and recarbonation system. The treatment plant capacity will produce 4.5 mgd. with a reservoir capacity of 200 mg. The plants daily consumption is 1.8 mg. The plant serves 2,964 customers, plus producing water for rural water districts.

Water/Wastewater Distribution
Trenton’s award winning wastewater plant is an extended aeration activated sludge plant. The 2.7 mg mechanically aerated basin is designed to withstand shock loading as well as a normal high demand load. Following the aeration basin are two final clarifiers with a capacity of 145,000 gallons each. The plant also includes two 384,000 gallon aerobic digesters.
