The City of Trenton has a full time street department charged with keeping the roads within the city limits in good repair. Currently, ten full time employees work on various projects that keep Trenton’s streets clean and safe. The City of Trenton has over 70 miles of roads it maintains. Each year the Trenton Street Department engages in a street overlay program, and a chip and seal program. Additionally, the Trenton Street Department has its own paving / construction crew, and asphalt plant. Cooperation with city, state, and federal agencies helps the Trenton Street Department stretch its budget to improve as many streets and roads as possible.
